2023年2月13日 · a 13 does sound good. I jumped on a 13 and a 13 6" in high school. Best case scenario (which is not the cheapest) is to go to a pole vault camp, try a bunch of poles and order one of those. Second best is to try poles from other schools nearby, or when they come to a meet. Also you can ask some doctors, lawyers, and banks to sponsor your pole.

2024年5月7日 · The last record holder at my school for pole vault was getting like 12'0-12'6 her senior year, while junior year I am pretty sure her pr was only 10'6! It gives me a little bit of hope at having some major Pr's and getting in somewhere decent!

2023年2月16日 · Definitely recommend using a pole vault or a jump spike to run sprints. There won’t be a huge difference sprinting in jump spikes but vaulting in a sprint spike can be an injury risk over time since they have very poor cushioning. Nike triple jump, Pv elite, or long jump spike would all be good to look into, there’s photos in the wiki too

2023年4月15日 · Now, if you compare two 120-lb poles, one which is a foot longer than the other, the longer one will be the equivalent of 20-lbs heavier (a 140-lb pole) holding at the same handhold as the shorter one. So going to a foot longer, 120-lb pole from a 110 is the equivalent of going up 30-lbs in pole, which is 6 poles bigger than your current pole.

Get some regular white athletic tape, Tape the 6 inch section of the pole where your top hand goes, but put the sticky side of the tape outward. It works better than you think it will. Then grip it hard with your hand, relax the hand, and vault.
