Pogradec (Albanian pronunciation: [pɔɡɾaˈdɛt͡s], Macedonian: Поградец) is the eleventh most populous city in Albania and the capital of the eponymous municipality. It is located on a narrow plain between two mountain chains along the southwestern banks of the Lake of Ohrid .

POGRADEC is a city and municipality in central Albania, situated on the shores of the Ohrid lake. The lake is one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes. This city is surrounded by hills on the southern and western sides.

Pogradec is a town in the east of Albania on the shores of Lake Ohrid. In 2019 the mixed UNESCO World Heritage site "Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Ohrid region" was extended to also include the Albanian side of the lake.
