• Steps of the Project: – Step 1: Brainstorm on the cell parts and what you can draw to represent each part. Use the Parts of a Cell Page to help you. – Step 2: Draw a picture of your city. Label each “cell” part of the city with a letter A through J. – Step 3: Create a legend or map key in the corner and explain what A – J ...
2012年11月1日 · Cell City City Layout Nucleus The nucleus would be the city hall of cell city. It is the central part of both animal and most plant cells. The nucleus contains the cell's heredity information and controls the functions of the cell. This is similar to how the city hall keeps
Cytoplasm Inside of a cell, the cytoplasm is a watery, jelly like environment that contains all the organelles. However, in a city, the cytoplasm would be like the air because anything that takes up space is surrounded by air.
You will create a poster that compares a living plant cell and its organelles to a city, school, factory, ballpark, etc. The place you choose must use energy, produce substances and manage waste.
The objective of this project is to create an analogy for the structure and function of a cell and its organelle. Just as a city has many parts that serve various functions, so does a cell. You will create either a plant or animal cell analogy.
Cell City Project - Free download as PDF File (.pdf), Text File (.txt) or read online for free. Students will work in groups to design and build a model of a plant cell as an imaginary city. Each student will research and create models of two organelles to include in the city model, and write descriptions of each organelle and its ...
For this project, you will be making direct analogies between a cell and a city, then creating a city that directly shows the analogies that you created. You will work with a partner and follow the steps listed below to complete the assignment by the end of the week.
In this project, you will compare organelles in a living plant or animal cell to people and places in a city. The places you choose must do a job similar to that of the organelle (ex a power plant to represent the mitochondria). You will create a fully colored and labeled “map” of your cell city on poster board with 10 organelles represented.
Students are asked to: 1) Match organelles like the nucleus and chloroplast to city roles like a school principal and power plant; 2) Choose an animal or plant cell type; 3) Give their city a creative title with the word "cell"; and 4) Draw and label their cell city layout on a poster, grading themselves based on a provided rubric.
Create a fictional city where each part of the city represents an organelle in the cell. You may choose either a plant cell or an animal cell for your city. Label all the city parts, the organelles represented and WHY you chose it to represent that part of the city. For example, the city garbage department would be the lysosomes because they ...
