2024年11月7日 · I have a vertical Pit boss pellet smoker and all was going fine and I noticed a stall. Come to find out when I checked the rear pellet dump door that I had a large clump of pellets that had gotten wet/moisture. Emptied, cleared, and got it feeding pellets again, but trying to figure out how they got wet when I have a Pit Boss cover over the grill.

2021年7月24日 · I've enjoyed pit Boss competition blend. Also I mix Pit Boss hickory with Treagers cherry or pecan, or whatever i can find. The fun of smoking is in trying all the different flavors of pellets available. Don't get stuck on just one! You will find some flavors go better with certain foods. Don't be afraid to experiment, can't mess it up really.

2020年8月9日 · That is because they just don't put out as much intense smoke. Also when you say hickory pellets look very closely at the bag. It is hard to find pellets that are one single wood such as hickory. Most of the time hickory is mixed with other woods such as oak. From what I read it has to do with a steady burn of the pellets.

2021年3月21日 · The brand that I really like is Lumber Jack pellets--I find that this brand produces better smoke infused flavor to my cooks! I know this may be subjective, but in my opinion there is a difference. They cost a little more that PB pellets, but to me it is well worth the extra cost. My favorite pellets are Lumber Jack 100% hickey and mesquite.

I do not use Pit Boss Pellets I use other brands Like B&B Pellets do not use softwoods like Alder in it. If you worried about alder just use a pellet that says 100% Natural Hardwood.
