Mandurah Aboriginal artist Peta Ugle's artwork will be used as part of the Cancer Council's new plan to reduce the disparity between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cancer death rates.

The winning artwork by Peta & Corey Ugle is featuring as part of the decorative Welcome to Country’ design on the main wall of the refurbished Mandurah Visitor Centre reception area. This amazing mural was officially unveiled in December 2021 and is telling the Aboriginal story of our Mandjoogoordap (Mandurah).

Welcome to Country Mural – As you meander around Mandurah, you’ll come to notice many Aboriginal art pieces and sculptures, such as the magnificent ‘Welcome to Country’ mural on the wall of the Mandurah Visitor Centre. The artwork by artists Peta and Corey Ugle tells the Aboriginal story of how Mandurah’s vast waterways were created.
