2012年6月15日 · We have a beautiful, free standing 10x12'x8' high pergola, totally maintenance free, powder-coated aluminum, sitting on a concrete pad. It cost $700 as a kit from a discount retailer (BJs). I was able to assemble it with a socket wrench, a step ladder and my wife steadying the legs as I connected the first roof pieces.

2020年8月6日 · Edit: It can be turned and angled so it blocks the sun and the rain when it blows in where a pergola likely couldn't have. The whole thing was around $350 including base, sand & umbrella. 2020年9月7日 · Decisions, decisions. Best thing you can do is to check everything out. We have a enclosed lanai with double pane glass with central A/C. We love that room because we can use it all year long. We are now having a “screened in” pergola attached to the lanai. We wanted additional outdoor “Open” space to enjoy the views of our backyard.

2013年4月10日 · I'll suggest a birdcage in good condition would be much more likely to add resale value, especially if it is one of the new 'pillared' type of cages which blends so well with the house itself. That is also the virtue of a pergola, although I have never seen one which is screened in.

2024年7月24日 · The more I think about this project, I’m starting to lean toward building a freestanding pergola out of either pressure treated or cedar wood, treated with a premium quality oil based stain, constructed with stainless steel hardware, anchored very securely to the concrete deck, with a removable canvas roof.
