2018年5月10日 · If I understand the model policy of Pentax in regard of Pentax Spotmatic correct (just from remind) then you have 1) the original (named)"Spotmatic" [ I + II ] both with M42. 2.) later Models (KM,KX) on basis of the Spotmatic body. .....last was the very cheap K1000 : parts of K1000 Models asembled in China.

2009年4月15日 · The Spotmatic F can only meter wide open only with certain later Pentax/Takumar lenses (I doubt if all SMC glass works). On the negative side, the full-aperture metering cams sometimes prevent mounting M42 lenses of other brands (especially a number of German lenses).

2004年11月4日 · There were two version of the Spotmatic SP, with the later one being produced from 1965 to 1973. My guess is that you have the later one, just because it was produced so long. The 50mm 1.4 Super Takumar lens was produced from 1964 to 1971 in two different versions.

The light meter switch is supposed to return to the off position automatically when the shutter is released. However, in cameras that have been neglected for many years, it is common for the switch to stick in the on position after the shutter has been released.

2011年2月12日 · Pentax made a clip-on light meter for these which couples to the shutter speed dial mechanically, similar to those on the SV/S1a and similar earlier bodies (it may be the same meter). There should be a notch in the shutter speed dial where the spring-loaded pin on the meter's dial engages.

2021年1月5日 · Although my Spotmatic was working well, I sent it to him for a CLA. A decade later, both cameras remain sweet users. If you find yourself using a 50 year old camera regularly, I'd recommend a CLA even it there seems to be no problem with it.
