Gunslinger is -3.24% to 20.20% (Average ~11.39%) behind on DPR as compared to the Fighter assuming no misfires. If the fighter can save a 3rd action reapplying hunt prey and the gunslinger misfires the DPR range increases to 18.22% to 37.93% (average 30.54%) behind the fighter.

That means you can come up with a fun concept, get the basics right (18 main stat, matching your weapon, armour and skills to your gunslinger way, etc), and know you'll be good.

The sniper is simply the most optimised for hitting ungodly numbers from level 1 (when you can throw out a potential 80+ damage/turn at 1st level, second place is going to look bad no matter how good it actually is)

2022年10月5日 · That said, while the 1st level Gunslinger stuff is rather underwhelming, both Fake Out! and Risky Reload at Level 2, and Running Reload at Level 4, as well as Sniper's Aim at Level 6, are all good picks as well, so unless you are playing with Free Archetype, its probably more sensible to invest in the class feats.

2022年4月24日 · Gunslinger Way: We're choosing Vanguard for its melee options and because we like big guns. Weapons: We're going with the Arquebus firearm for it's damage. It's got a 1d8 with kickback. Kickback gives an extra +1 damage without penalty so long as you have the required strength. And we'll be putting points into strength as well for our melee option.
