Do you want to be able to quick detach either of the PVS-14s for possible weapons mounting, attaching to spotting scopes or, just handing the PVS-14 off to another person?

2020年4月11日 · I would be tempted to use two PVS-14s in the MOD mount mentioned above. Along with the advantages the other poster mentioned, if one of the tubes had an issue or even just had a battery die, you would still be night vision capable. You would also be able to add a thermal monocular in the future, should they ever become affordable to the common man.

2020年7月14日 · It works. Been using a patrol/pvs-14 on a Wilcox bridge since 2015 or 16. A good helmet, pads/suspension, and counterweight make a big difference. White phosphorus is also easier on your brain then green since it's closer to the b&w of the thermal. I think there are some green filters that fit the back of the patrol though.

2005年1月2日 · The helmet mount J-Arm staying on the PVS-14 while weapon mounted is also key to a quick transition and the TM-14 also allows this very easily. Weight of the TM-14 is only .8oz with no heavy throw lever hanging on ones head which is also a key factor with any head mounted PVS-14 system.

2020年1月17日 · Building a PVS-14 is the second-easiest thing you can do in life, just after breathing. While there certainly are "best practices," if you find cheap, functional parts, you need not worry about things like nitrogen purging, collimation, etc. Just take reasonable precautions to assemble in a relatively clean, cool, low-humidity environment.
