PVC-Yagis - qsl.net
These Yagis are constructed with cheap leightweight materials for electric installations and you can mount and dismantle them without any tools. The boom is made of PVC-tubes with 16mm, 20mm or 25mm diameter, the element holders are the clamps for these tubes.
The WB0CMT 3 Element 2 Meter Yagi Using PVC boom
This 3 element 2 meter Yagi is nothing more than an "adjustable match" half-wave dipole antenna (the driven element) using direct feed 50 ohm coax, mounted between the other two elements which are the reflector and the director. It will give you about "7db" gain according to the author.
5-El.-2m-Yagi - qsl.net
Boom 1,5 m, 20mm PVC tubing. Gain 8,48dBd, F/B 24dB, very good pattern. 3dB-angles: 51,2° hor, 64,6° ver. For vertical stacking distance 2,10 m . Left: Antenna built by Olli, DH8BQA
4-El.-2m-Yagi - qsl.net
With the boomlength of 1m two different Yagis were realized: A 50-Ohm-Yagi with a PVC-Boom and a 28-Ohm-Yagi with a 16x1mm aluminium-boom and the DK7ZB-Match. Both Yagis have high gain and not a good F/B, but for most portable purposes it should be no disadvantage. The 28-Ohm-Yagi see down!
protecting yagi with PVC or other material
2014年9月14日 · I am in the process of building a homemade yagi (for 2.4GHz). Once done I would like to be able to protect it from the elements and thought I could place it inside a PVC pipe. I cannot find any definitive answers on the web regarding the effects of PVC and 2.4GHz. Would PVC have any effect on the RF?
Yagi Antenna construction notes - ka7oei.com
A few notes on Yagi (and similar) antenna construction: PVC pipe (especially white PVC) is not a preferred material for antenna construction for the following reasons: PVC of the sort used for pipes has poor mechanical strength. It has rather poor longevity when exposed to direct sunlight.
Can you build a yagi out of plastic? Every element isolated
2016年11月21日 · A Yagi antenna is nothing more than a lens for RF. The principle is very similar. Here's a slightly more interesting question, can we build antennas out of materials that partially conduct, i.e. "resistors", and get interesting properties out of varying their shapes and resistive qualities?
Using pvc for antenna mast.........................
2008年3月27日 · I have used PVC for a mast several times but the antenna was mounted to a 1.5" piece and then to a fence pole 10' high off the ground. It was only a temporary install. I would never trust PVC to hold up at greater heights to the winds we get here in Michigan.
Stacked 5-El.-2-m-Yagi, 25 Ohm - qsl.net
With two Yagis of 25-Ohm-impedance an easy stacking is possible. We need two pieces of 5/4-λ-coax-cable with 50 Ω. The 25 Ω at XX are transformed to 100 Ω at XX . With both cables L1 and L2 parallel we get the 50 Ω for the cable to the TRX.
