2020年8月3日 · The good thing about a PTR 91 is that by the time you run out your barrel (can be difficult to do in a single lifetime), it will frankly be just as economical to purchase another PTR 91 instead of hiring someone to rebarrel. Slav PS: I have a half dozen other PTR host firearms, but they are not in 308/7.62. Experience on them is exceptional.

2018年7月4日 · I have an early model PTR. Just after they changed from JLD. Not one of the shit ones, thankfully. Also own and shoot both the AR 308 platform and JRA M14. My PTR has the 18” target barrel. Let’s start with the obvious. It’s heavy. Really heavy. Nasty recoil with the HK G3 furniture. And the trigger sucks balls. Iron sights are very nice.

2014年4月26日 · It went under and its equipment was sold in the late 90’s. PTR (or more accurately the company that would become PTR) bought prints and tooling from this plant when its assets were sold off. The licensing agreement had long since ceased and this was not an asset. Personally, I like PTR and agree with your comments an out their customer service.

2012年1月28日 · Chris explained the reason was the out of spec chamber in the HK and the .020 clearence in the neck that makes the flutes work better, but that would open them up to liability if someone tried to reload that brass. That made since, and in OBamageddon I cannot afford two more HK-91's the PTR's will have to work.

2023年11月8日 · I have a PTR 91, and the trigger breaks at over 8 pounds. Is there a spring kit or simple mod that can reduce it to a more moderate amount? I know there are replacement triggers available, but I'd rather just reduce the weight with some modifications myself. I don't need a target-level trigger.

2011年12月13日 · PTR mimmicked HK by using a 45 degree LP. If you're OK with the recoil and accuracy as is, leave it in there. If you want more consistent groups and a more pleasant recoil experience shooting heavier bullets you should change out to a 36 degree LP, or at least a 40 if you're concerned about function below freezing temps.
