2005年3月24日 · The PSP-1000 shipped with an IrDA port for data transmission via infrared, apparently just for kicks, because it was not officially supported nor used in any first-, second- or any-party software. Some homebrew software would take advantage of it to turn the PSP-1000 into a universal media remote or even a garage door operator.

In spite of me being warned (because SOME BOARDS are just echo chambers), I'm going to point out that the noisy PSP appears to have sorted itself out. Unfortunately, there is another problem in that in fiddling with a completely different PSP, I have broken the plastic tab inside it that keeps the ribbon cable for the screen's brightness down.

At the time, a really big DS game was 64mb, while PSP games ran up to 1.8gb. Cartridges capable of gigabyte level storage were prohibitively expensive at the time. The UMD was a cheaper, more fragile version of the original Sony Mini-Disc, and allowed storage space for PS2-quality games as well as full-length theatrical movies.

My PSP 3000 makes some squealing noise briefly when I start it up. Doesn't last long, and the UMD doesn't appear scratched. I haven't played the game in a while. (Been playing Dracula X Chronicles.) Is this the beginning of the end for my PSP?

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite saved just fine. Guess I will use my 4gb memory stick for Tony Hawk Underground 2 Remix when I get around to playing it. I was going to keep the 4gb memory stick anyway as a backup for saves and to use in my PSP 1000 while the memory stick pro duo adapter with the 64gb SD card was to stay in my PSP 3000.

Ok, my issue is that I have no issue what so ever with running disk 1 eboot on my psp, by no matter what i try i cannot get disk 2 to run at all, I have tried multi disk eboots (im running 3.90 m33-2) in the multidisk eboot, disk 1 runs fine but when i go to change disks it freezes, I try to just make a single eboot of disk 2 and it will either freeze on the playstation logo or right after the ...
