Either way the psp doesn’t support both 5G (even the vita only support 3g mobile data) and 5ghz. Any current wifi also uses newer security standards which the psp doesn’t support and even if you can get it working with the low amount of ram on the psp most sites won’t even load anyways.

Security-wise, you can set your network up so that the PSP network is isolated with its own subnet by connecting the PSP router's Internet port to your main network's LAN port.

PSP's compatibility with variants on MP4/AVC/AAC video files has improved across its many firmware versions, and custom firmware is reported to "unlock" more capabilities, so I doubt a video encoded with the settings described here would work with, say, 1.50.

Mar 1, 2024 · My 695 5g phone can run psp just fine. But even though I disabled thermal throttling and set max clocks on my phone it still has trouble running some citra games. It really comes down to which has the better drivers which I'm not sure.

Nov 27, 2021 · The results will ultimately depend on the emulator and the game you're trying to play, but in my experience, it can run PSP games really well and even some GameCube ones. I've Tried MGS Peace Walker and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP and they both run flawlessly, even with some graphical improvements in place.

May 29, 2023 · I don't get all the hate this device gets.... I sold my Odin Pro for it and I haven't looked back. I'm playing PS2 games at 3x-4x resolution and it's smooooooooooth. PSP... smooth. Dreamcast... perfect. I chose this over the SD because of the portability.

Fuck that, just make new PSP batteries please or give us a better option than the 3rd party crap out there. There's gotta be higher quality parts for cheaper than there were 7 years ago Sony needs to really play consumer friendly if they make another handheld, Vita and PSP have great libraries but they have too much little proprietary shit.
