Either way the psp doesn’t support both 5G (even the vita only support 3g mobile data) and 5ghz. Any current wifi also uses newer security standards which the psp doesn’t support and even if you can get it working with the low amount of ram on the psp most sites won’t even load anyways.

Security-wise, you can set your network up so that the PSP network is isolated with its own subnet by connecting the PSP router's Internet port to your main network's LAN port.

PSP's compatibility with variants on MP4/AVC/AAC video files has improved across its many firmware versions, and custom firmware is reported to "unlock" more capabilities, so I doubt a video encoded with the settings described here would work with, say, 1.50.

2024年3月1日 · My 695 5g phone can run psp just fine. But even though I disabled thermal throttling and set max clocks on my phone it still has trouble running some citra games. It really comes down to which has the better drivers which I'm not sure.

2023年5月29日 · I don't get all the hate this device gets.... I sold my Odin Pro for it and I haven't looked back. I'm playing PS2 games at 3x-4x resolution and it's smooooooooooth. PSP... smooth. Dreamcast... perfect. I chose this over the SD because of the portability.

2021年3月7日 · As a PSP/Go/Vita owner I’m doubtful they would release another handheld after they dropped the Vita for the PS4. And even if they did there would always be the worry about dropping a mobile platform again. I wish they made a 5G Vita type device. Switch has shown its popular style of device (Switch Lite especially).

2022年5月17日 · Anything till psx and dreamcast will run perfectly, and 99% of psp games will run well too except a few like both midnight clubs. Most of gamecube games will be good if you use mmjr. Ps2 will pose a problem cuz many extremely heavy games like gta:sa and both of the mgs will not be playable. Wii and switch are just not possible.

2021年11月27日 · The results will ultimately depend on the emulator and the game you're trying to play, but in my experience, it can run PSP games really well and even some GameCube ones. I've Tried MGS Peace Walker and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP and they both run flawlessly, even with some graphical improvements in place.

Seems like they're going to try, nobody knows when. PSP 5G Was patented recently. I don't have a PS5 yet but I would sure get one along side a PSP 5g just to support a new sony handheld. Theory is, it would just stream games from a PS5 allowing inexpensive hardware. Kinda sad, because the power of the psp and vita are incredible for their time.
