2014年8月17日 · The PSP is widely known by the series code (PSP-1000, PSP-2000, etc.). There are sub-codes within this numbering system however which designate the region coding. PSP game discs are region-free, however, most movie discs have region encoding, and so will only work on the appropriate master unit.

If you have a Non-GO PSP, download this. If you have a PSP GO, download this. With both of those downloads, you should follow the structure that the folders within are set up as when putting them on your memory stick. Basically if you just drag that 'PSP' folder from within the download onto the ROOT of your memory stick, you should be good.

However the seller claimed it doesn't come with a memory card. What memory card do you guys recommend I get? I see stuff on Amazon but some of the reviews are saying they are a hit or miss.

2023年11月28日 · PSP 2001 different from 2000? Hi all, I just recently got a psp model 2001 and needed to replace the screen as it was broken and I could hear all the noises from the system working. However after I replaced the screen and put it back together, I would turn it on and once I pressed a button the system would make a pop noise and turn off.

2020年6月23日 · Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the PSP. The PSP-1000 (2004) came first, followed by the PSP-2000 (Slim & Lite) in 2007, then the PSP-3000 in 2008, and finally, the budget-friendly PSP-E1000 (Street) in 2011.

Parts, short of the motherboard itself, are easily replaced. If the UMD drive spins up, try cleaning it. Having a psp around with a working UMD drive can be useful if you ever want to copy a disc (alternatively, if you see another good deal on a psp somewhere get another psp). The off brand 3600mAh batteries suck.

2023年8月17日 · Hello! I recently purchased a PSP 2001 2nd hand and am having some issues. When I turn on the system the screen stays black, and makes no noise, this makes me think it is possibly bricked however what is weird is that the green power light will NOT turn itself off like all other videos of bricked 2000s I have seen.

I'd usually recommend 6.60 over 6.61 because it has more homebrew and they're more stable, plus it can run virtually every game. but mainly because, at least last I checked, the chronoswitch downgrader has some really weird issue with *some* units (it's pretty random) running 6.61, meaning you're stuck there unless you have an older PSP.

2021年12月11日 · Get a new battery online. This should make the PSP whole for not too much more invested. If you return it and really want a 2000 PSP, you'll have to do shipping both ways, waiting, hope you get a refund, hope the new one doesn't have the same problem. May be worth it to just fix this one if everything else is fine. For WiFi the PSP uses WPA-TKIP.
