Granted the match was going to suck no matter what and it wasn t any good earlier than that. Mongo just wasn t any good for the most part and this is no exception. Mongo says he didn t quit and hits the referee to waste time.

Was an interesting month for WCW as at the time, WWF/E was chomping at its ankles and was bringing the margin in the ratings closer and closer.

This was 1998. It’s not like the company was completely dead here or Hogan didn’t mean anything. This was still Hulk Hogan and he was still a huge draw. Goldberg was undefeated here and had broken 100 wins and was US Champion so he was a huge deal. This is a PPV main event at minimum and the biggest match of the year more than likely.

So far I'm in June of 1998 for the WWF and I'm on the first episode of Thunder in January of 1998 for WCW, mainly because I've just felt like watching the Austin-McMahon feud.

You had WCW with nWo dominating and with the whole storyline of Sting and stating that they turned there backs against him. Every ppv for the 3 were balls to the walls and just awesome.
