Actually thought about swapping in a carbon fiber-wrapped barrel for either the Revolution or the Rogue but no one makes an AR-15 sized barrel extension with a .308 bore. Word from POF peeps is the Rogue is designed as a lightweight hunting rifle and will do better with heavier rounds .

2012年1月9日 · POF does NOT offer an 18" .308 which would arguably be an ideal compromise for a .308 AR IMHO...you either get the 16.5" or the 20" models ONLY unless you go with some sort of a custom barrel solution (or you work something out with Frank and the folks at POF ahead of time if they are willing to do something a little "different" for you).

2021年4月4日 · I have a POF 16.5 308 and I wanted more velocity for Elk so I bought a POF 20 in barrel from CFL Gun and Tactical and had is swapped out - they even did it for me - it also needed a different rod. I am getting 2578 with factory ELD X 178's with the longer barrel - I was really surprised how much more the 3.5 inches gave me.

2014年2月18日 · I have a POF P-308 and even at 100 yards it can not shot groups that my AIAW or TRG 22 can print. The POF's best group ever was just about 0.5 moa. When I have a bad day my AIAW will shoot 0.35 moa groups and many 0.25 0r less. The TRG 22 is 0.5 on a bad day on good days 0.3 moa.

2007年2月6日 · Re: pof 308 users preferred bipod? I just got my POF (what a beautiful rifle!). The bottom rail has a rubber/plastic 'cover' mated to it...so if you just held up a normal adaptor it wouldn't fit.

2014年2月8日 · I cleaned my new POF using the above video upon receipt of my POF P308 in March 2013 and it has never once had a single FTF or FTE. I have shot everything from milsurp to various Match grade 168gr and 175gr ammo. Submoa and best group is 0.53". I also switched out the stock for a UBR and called POF who sent me the correct spring and buffer.

I had always wanted a DMPS-SASS LR-308 but I decided to spend a little extra and get the POF*USA P-308. It was a decision I haven't yet and doubt I will ever regret.
