I'm looking to add another walther to my collection and I have really been looking into the Q5 match, and also into the PDP full size. Now the only real difference I can find between these two is the price, and the occasional argument of handle design. I have also debated between poly frame, or steel frame.

I am very satisfied with my PDP and wouldn't trade it for anything else (I have the 2.0 version with stock high performance trigger).

Q5 and PDP are basically the same platform. The PDP is almost like a new “generation” of PPQ mainly designed for duty use. Meanwhile the Q5 is a competition version of the PPQ.

This gives the newer gun a slightly better sense of balance in the hand due to its more even proportions.
