2002年9月30日 · Some rely on the PCV to not let air into the crankcase & that also seems to work as long as the PCV is working properly. Most put a K&N filter in place of the oil cap. Not really what you want to do. This will let un-metered air into the intake manifold & allow the PCV to suck as much air/oil as it can right on into the intake.

2012年6月2日 · If that is the one that has oil leaking out, then it is possible that your PCV is clogged and stuck and not sucking any air, allowing pressure to build up in the crank case and blow out the breather. With your engine running, remove the PCV from the grommet.

2020年7月30日 · Excess oil accumulation in the intake tube indicates a few possibilities. A clogged or overly restricted PCV restrictor or poorly sealing rings that result in excessive blowby. Maybe try heavier oil like 10w30 or 10w40 above 20F.

I changed the oil at the same time, using Castrol Edge 0W-40 before and after. The engine is still using oil indicating in all cylinders.
