2022年11月25日 · PCIe is backwards compatible. Gen 4 drives will work in gen 3 slots, and vice versa. A PCIe 4.0 x4 drive will run at 1/4 of its max potential speed in a 3.0 x2 slot though, or half speed if the slot supported x4. Gen 4 drives are a waste of money if the slot only supports gen 3.

2021年12月28日 · As the title states, GPU-Z and the BIOS are showing the top PCIe slot is running at x2 with my GPU instead of 16x which it supports. I tried moving my GPU to the PCIe slot 2 and that ran the GPU at x8.

In PCIe x2 mode, NO sata port is disabled. (of course if no M2 ssd is used, NO sata port is disabled) So what I want is definitely the third option - PCIe x2 mode.
