P0700 can indicate anything from a worn speed sensor to a catastrophic failure. It has to be scanned with the proper equipment to pull the details.

The P0700 isn't necessarily a sign of a bad TCM. This p-code is simply a "generic" code that is passed to the PCM telling it that there is a problem in the transmission.
