Since it seems your motors have nonstandard chains, you should really use steel to extend their reach. Steel is lighter than chain, and is the "industry standard" way to extend the reach of a motor.

Mic stands go in a custom case, 11.25" x 22.5" x 35", fits a dozen inside, and a kick stand outside (not pictured in the photo).

You can adjust the stereo spread, and "medium" works pretty well for a kit when tracking.
