Orbakh was a great necromancer of Myth Drannor who resided with his brethren in the Tower of Bones in the city's Polyandrium before the Weeping War. [1] Orbakh possessed many precious spellbooks and personal valuables that all were entombed with him inside his crypt.

Orbakh awoke at the beginning of the Manshoon Wars only to find that he had been turned into a vampire and was not in the stasis chamber with the rest of the Manshoon clones (or the stash of magic items he had left for himself in the event of his death).

Manshoon escaped imprisonment and fled Undermountain, taking refuge in the city above. Attempts to magically regenerate his severed limb failed, forcing him to craft an artificial arm and hand for himself. There's a vampire Manshoon u/Storyteller-Hero mentioned, named Orbakh.

A vampire chooses a grand yet defensible location for its lair, such as a castle, fortified manor, or walled abbey. It hides its coffin in an underground crypt or vault guarded by vampire spawn or other loyal creatures of the night.

This hip, trendy clone was found by the Night King Orlak and was changed into a Vampire, but with his newfound Vampiric powers coupled with his Magical expertise, he easily destroyed Orlak and adopted his name as his own, eventually changing it to Orbakh instead.
