Old Crow is a community in the Canadian territory of Yukon. Located in a periglacial environment, the community is situated on the Porcupine River in the far northern part of the territory. Old Crow is 60 kilometres south of the extraordinary Vuntut National Park, one of Canada’s most remote national parks. The area surrounding Old Crow is rich in ice age fossils, and has yielded evidence of Arctic camels, mammoths, Steppe bison and many other species.

Today, Old Crow is the home community for the Vuntut Gwitchin – People of the Lakes. We have strong family ties connecting all our communities, including other Gwich’in nations in Alaska and the Northwest Territories.
