With Giacomo Oddero continuing to oversee operations, the iconic estate in La Morra is now run by the sixth and seventh generations: his daughters, Mariavittoria and Mariacristina, and their respective children, Isabella and Pietro.

Oddero is one of the great, historic, traditional Barolo houses with a long history spanning over 200 years. There are mentions of the Oddero family in La Morra as far back as the 1700s, though the family was likely there even before that point.

Always a standout wine, the Oddero 2018 Barolo Brunate is a complete wine, and I use that word specifically because it shows balance, freshness, length and structure. It has all the basics of an age-worthy Nebbiolo that promises to increase in complexity and depth with more cellar age.
