Our OSI-PTSD Service Dog program endeavours to help Veterans and First Responders diagnosed with an Operational Stress Injuries (OSI), such as Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD). Too often, the trauma of service or the workplace leaves Veterans and First Responders with deep scars that make life challenging, if not impossible.

Our core mission is very specific: we arrange for the training and subsequent delivery of PTSD and OSI (Operational Stress Injury) service dogs for new Military veterans, and first responders: Police, Fire, EMT, Nursing, Corrections and 9-1-1 personnel. These wonderful dogs are provided at no cost to the recipients.

Service Dog - OSI-CAN BC
Service dogs are used to ensure their handler’s safety and health. Additionally, they can restore the ability to perform routines and activities without incident or problem. OSI-CAN provides financial aid for those who are in our target demographic. The acquisition and training cost per dog is approximately $25,000.
