Mar 24, 2024 · If you do order an M1, I would recommend getting the version with the S-FHSS protocol (it can be purchased with one of two internal protocols). The other version, with the OMP protocol, is less flexible with fixed throttle and pitch curves that cannot be adjusted.

Jan 17, 2022 · I have 2 new-to-me OMP M1 and I'm using the old-school, 3-wire, Spektrum SPM4647 DSMX Remote Satellite Receiver bind'ed to my iX12. It works great. No muss, no fuss, no problems. I want some telemetry, so I hooked up my SPM4649T to the M1's flight controller, and it was no-joy. Is anyone using an SPM4649T with the OMP flight controller?

On some Rotor Live 2025 pictures only several M1 helis were shown which had a bigger tail motor. I didn't hear about any other news for a new FC. The M1 / M1 Evo has the soldered white socket for the T-Rex 150 style plug on the Esc.
