The eclipse is better, as it has four gun slots instead of 2 and an additional shield, is faster and overall more maneuverable, though the flavor text says the opposite. (Except for Yaw) However, the Eclipse costs roughly 2.7 million (to purchase) while the Nova is around 700k.

2024年3月3日 · 'faster' than both types we see in X4 but less weapons were able to be added notably the plasma weapon on the Nova could not be added to the Raider variant. Sentinel = More Armor therefore slower. Generally more cargo space. Vanguard = Less armor therefore a little faster. Less cargo space in general.

2019年10月22日 · Eclipse pulls out the damage while the Nova are great distractions and maneuverable fighters. The Eclipse can be pretty slow and against other fighters and they take pretty significant damage because of it.

2020年4月29日 · It's a heavy fighter but still pretty fast. And it has more weapons. I can't buy the eclipse yet. The nova seems to be a pretty straigth upgrade. If that's the easiest upgrade go for it. Its 1 more weapon. Combat or allrounder thruster? Is yaw or pitch more important?
