Nosean - Wikipedia
Nosean, also known as noselite, is a mineral of the feldspathoid group with formula: Na 8 (Al 6 Si 6 O 24)(SO 4)·H 2 O. [1] It forms isometric crystals of variable color: white, grey, blue, green, to brown.
Nosean: The mineral nosean information and pictures
Nosean is an uncommon member of the feldspathoid group that is closely related to Lazurite and Hauyne. It can sometimes be very difficult to distinguish these three minerals without a complex chemical analysis.

Bright blue nosean is easily mistaken for lazurite. Also classed as a feldspathoid. Visit gemdat.org for gemological information about Nosean. As of 2021 there are now IMA–CNMNC approved mineral symbols (abbreviations) for each mineral species, useful for tables and diagrams. Please only use the official IMA–CNMNC symbol.

Nosean - Clark Science Center
Nosean is generally restricted to volcanic rocks. The volcanic rocks that the sodalite group is found in include phonolites, alkali basalts, trachyte, and feldspathoidal basalt. The commonly associated minerals are nepheline, leucite, and sanidine.
