NIH/3T3 - CRL-1658 - ATCC
NIH/3T3 is a fibroblast cell line that was isolated from a mouse NIH/Swiss embryo. This cell line is highly sensitive to sarcoma virus focus formation and leukemia virus propagation and has proven to be very useful in DNA transfection studies. This cell line is a multiclonal population and we no longer test this cell line for contact inhibition.
Heterogeneity of the NIH3T3 Fibroblast Cell Line - PMC
The embryonic mouse fibroblast cell line NIH3T3 is widely used in life science research, including the study of cell cycle control and primary cilia. Fibroblasts are the most important cell type in connective tissue, as they produce components of ...
Cellosaurus cell line NIH 3T3 (CVCL_0594)
Interlaboratory study to validate a STR profiling method for intraspecies identification of mouse cell lines. Heterogeneity of the NIH3T3 fibroblast cell line.
NIH 3T3 CELL LINE – NIH3T3 General Information
NIH 3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells were initiated from a cell line isolated in 1962 at the New York University School of Medicine Department of Pathology. 3T3 refers to the cell transfer and inoculation protocol for the line, and means “3-day transfer, inoculum 3 x 105 cells.”
Heterogeneity of the NIH3T3 Fibroblast Cell Line - PubMed
Aug 28, 2022 · The NIH3T3 cell line was derived from whole mouse embryos that developed to pre-birth and is therefore most likely composed of different fibroblast subtypes. Furthermore, prolonged proliferation may have influenced their cellular composition.
First Molecular Cytogenetic High Resolution Characterization of …
Here we present the first comprehensive high resolution characterization of the murine NIH3T3 cell line using all 21 chromosome-specific murine mcb probe sets. In all, 52 to 82 chromosomes were present in the studied NIH3T3 cell line; the majority of the ~550 studied cells had between 70 and 78 chromosomes.
Cell shrinkage as a signal to apoptosis in NIH 3T3 fibroblasts
In the present report, we have used NIH 3T3 fibroblasts as a model system to investigate the sequential signalling events leading from cell shrinkage to activation of apoptosis via small G proteins, MAP kinases, p53 and caspase-3.
NIH-3T3 Cell Line - Advancing Fibroblast Studies and ... - Cytion
The NIH3T3 cell line was established in the early 1960s from mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. Specifically, they were derived from the tissue of 17- to 19-day-old embryos of NIH Swiss mice. This cell line was developed to provide a consistent …
