2021年1月1日 · The NEPSY-II is a comprehensive neuropsychological battery for children aged 3–12. The test provides measures of sensor-motor, language, visuospatial processing, memory and learning, attention/executive functions, and social cognition. It is one of the few well-normed and standardized neuropsychological batteries for children and adolescents.

NEPSY-II subtests include Arrows, Block Construction, Design Copying, Geometric Puzzles, Picture Puzzles, and Route Finding. The subcomponents assessed include the visual orientation, design copy, inductive visual reproduction, visualization of rotation, deductive visual process, recognition of part-whole relationships, and schematic map reading.

The NEPSY-II consists of 32 subtests for use in a neuropsychological assessment with preschoolers, children, and adolescents. This test review provides an overview of the NEPSY-II for clinicians and researchers, including descriptions of the subtests, changes from the original NEPSY, reliability and validity evidence, strengths, and limitations.

Results obtained from a NEPSY–II assessment inform diagnoses and aid in intervention planning for a variety of childhood disorders. In particular, the NEPSY–II provides the clini-cian with insight regarding academic, social, and behavioral difficulties.

The NEPSY-II (Marit Korkman, Ursula Kirk & Sally Kemp, first version in 1980s, revised in 1998, second edition published in 2007) is a comprehensive tool that may be used in a neuropsychological assessment with preschoolers, children and adolescents (the age range of the test : 3-16 years).
