The NAD 5120 combines a semiautomatic, two-speed turntable with a novel “floppy” tone arm; both are designed to provide superior isolation from external shock and spurious vibrations. The platter, a light stamped-aluminum disc, is belt-driven at fixed speeds of 33-1/3 or 45 rpm by a low-speed (360-rpm) synchronous a.c. motor.

Great beginners turntable - well constructed and good sound. Mine is still going strong after 20 years.

2018年8月5日 · Any love for the 'flat armed' NAD 5120? I recently bought a NAD 5120 at a local charity shop. It wasn't a steal, but it had a nice Goldring cart with a G1012 stylus on it. It's not a giant killer, but it is an interesting, tweakable, design.

2006年5月1日 · The NAD 5120 is a flimsily built unit with a sound like a chainsaw on amphetimines, but then it was never designed for audio snobs like myself , and probably suited the lower end market quite well.
