The National People's Army (German: Nationale Volksarmee, pronounced [natsi̯oˈnaːlə ˈfɔlksʔaʁˌmeː] ⓘ; NVA [ɛn faʊ ˈʔaː] ⓘ) were the armed forces of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) from 1956 to 1990.

The GAZ-66 is a Soviet and later Russian 4x4 all-road (off-road) military truck produced by GAZ. It was one of the main cargo vehicles for motorized infantry of the Soviet Army and is still employed in former Soviet Union countries. [ 1 ]

The GAZ 66, produced at the Gorki Automobile Plant (Gorki avtomobil'nyj Zavod) and introduced at the end of the 60s was the standard truck of the Warsaw Pact states. (also used by the National People's Army (NVA) of the former DDR).

Gaz 51 oder die geländegängige Variante Gaz 63 wurden ab 1954 in der NVA eingesetzt. Als leichter LKW meist mit Spezialaufbauten wie Funkkoffer aber auch als Tankwagen oder Zugmittel für Granatwerfer eingesetzt.

Der GAZ-69 (russisch ГАЗ-69) ist ein zweiachsiger leichter Geländewagen (4×4) aus sowjetischer Produktion, der bis Anfang der 1970-er Jahre hergestellt wurde.

In der NVA wurde es als Spezial- KFZ bei der Artillerie und bei den Raketentruppen eingesetzt. Erst 1972 kam die Weiterentwicklung, der UAZ 469. Mehr Komfort, mehr Leistung und Zuverlässigkeit, auch bei extremen Witterungen, machten auch ihn über alle Grenzen bekannt. Er wurde in über 70 Länder exportiert.
