The work of the organization is accomplished through its members who bring high-level expertise and diverse perspectives to the forum.

All licensed pharmacies are assigned a seven-digit number known as the NCPDP Provider ID 1 2. The NCPDP maintains an online database of more than 70,000 pharmacies 2. The pharmacies upload profiles that contain detailed, up-to-date information about the pharmacy.
