Mr. Yue is an emerging, young, professional science educator who has a strong passion to integrate meaningful, inquiry-based pedagogical practices into and beyond the classroom curricula. He strongly believes that every individual has the capability to excel in the progression of their learning and become a lifelong learner.

Michael X. Yue is a young, professional, and academic science educator with extensive experience in the BC K-12 educational system. Mr. Yue received his bachelor degrees from the University of British Columbia and the University of Northern British Columbia.

2025年1月10日 · Mr Eddie Yue was appointed Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) from 1 October 2019. He began his career as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government in 1986. He joined the HKMA upon its establishment in 1993 and was promoted to Division Head a year later.

Mr. YUE is the Vice-President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (since 2006). He was awarded “Medal of Honour” in 2003 and the “Bronze Bauhinia Star” in 2016 by the HKSAR Government. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace by the HKSAR Government in 2008.

Mr Yue was appointed Executive Director, Co-Vice Chairman and CEC of Yancoal in September 2023 and Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on 14 January 2025. Mr Yue is a senior engineer who graduated from China University of Mining and Technology, and has more than 20 years of experience in coal mining operations and management.

Mr. YUE is the Chairman of the Bank. He is also the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of both BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited (“BOCHK (Holdings)”) and BOCHK. Mr. YUE was the Executive Vice President of BOC from August 2010 to March 2015. He joined BOC in 1980 and has been working in the Beijing Branch, Seoul Branch and the Head Office of BOC.
