With the open area at the base of the crag and grades ranging from 4 to 7b this is a fantastic crag for learning the art of sport climbing. Follow the A835 from Dingwall past the Brahan Holiday Cottages, until you see the crag on the hillside on your right. Park beside the forest entrance, keeping vehicular access free.

From the road walk toward the obvious cliffs up clear paths. Less than 200m walk from the roadside. Inverness is a very short drive (15 mins), or there are numerous options within walking distance. The area is very popular for fishing and hiking. Ravens nest here frequently. Check the Mountaineering Scotland website for updates on bird bans.

Perfectly formed conglomerate (held together with a healthy amount of glue) offers a south-facing aspect and a range of routes in a pretty accessible grade range. It’s the default option for those in the area.
