2025年3月12日 · These maps are based on a digital elevation model (DEM) from the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA; Smith et al., 2010), an instrument on the NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft (Tooley et al., 2010).

This map depicts the Moon as it will appear from the Northern Hemisphere on October 21, 2023, the date of International Observe the Moon Night. Many of the best views will occur along the terminator (the line between the day and night side of the Moon).
