2008年9月23日 · Removing momo steering wheel... i'd like to remove and sell the Momo Corse steering wheel in my car and replace it with a more correct Prototipo. Should i do this by removing the hex bolts around the horn button or should i be pulling the horn button (no idea how to do this btw) and undoing the big nut that is apparently under it?

I had a Momo wheel and removed it for the correct factory three spoke for the '84 Carrera. I liked the ease that it provided during low speed turns. I had Dallas Custom re-stich it with a little bit fatter diameter (he offers a tiny bit fatter or little bit fatter than that), feels and looks great but, boy, they have gotten pricey.

2020年5月5日 · I installed a momo steering wheel today on my 911 SC. I made sure the wheels were straight and the steering wheel was straight when I pulled it off. When I secured the new steering wheel and went for a test drive, the steering ended up being straight with the wheel rotated about 20 degrees counterclockwise.

2019年12月11日 · If you have to have to two prong Porsche button, then one of your wires coming from your button will need to ground to the steering column somehow. A crude but effective way is to terminate a wire underneath the washer/nut that holds the steering wheel to the column. That means just have a bunch of exposed wire sit under the big washer.

2011年9月6日 · Have an 84 with a Momo steering wheel/adapter installed. The steering wheel squeaks pretty loudly turning left or right, and the effort to turn the wheel is higher than my buddies 81. I don't have any play up down left or right, just the squeaking. I thought it was bushing related so I ordered the Mitch Leland bushing in hopes it will be the fix.

Off-topic but related. The std 3.2 steering wheel has a 381mm diameter. The current Momo Prototipo has a 350mm diameter - a 31mm difference. How much harder is it to operate the Momo in parking lot maneuvers? Especially for those with wider 16" rims.
