The City of Miramichi enacted By-law 114 in January 2022 that changed the way waste is collected. Since the new by-law went into effect, over 6,000 tonnes of waste have been collected and 820 tonnes of recyclables have been diverted from the landfill.

Indoor swimming pool operated by the City of Miramichi beginning Fall 1999. The Golden Hawk Pool is located in the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex on Pollard Ave at the former CFB Chatham. The pool is operated from September to May.
