Metamonad - Wikipedia
The metamonads are a large group of flagellate amitochondriate microscopic eukaryotes. They include the retortamonads, diplomonads, parabasalids, oxymonads, and a range of more poorly studied taxa, most of which are free-living flagellates.

2020年1月1日 · The name is now usually restricted to a Discoba–Metamonada clade (quite possibly artificial; see main text) or regarded as referring to a paraphyletic group. Archaeplastida are distinguished by the presence of primary plastids – the photosynthetic organelles deriving directly from cyanobacteria by endosymbiosis.

Metamonada - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Metamonada. Metamonada entirely comprises anaerobic protists, including various free-living protozoa, intestinal symbionts (especially of wood-eating insects), and many parasites (e.g., Giardia, Trichomonas). The monophyly of Metamonada is well supported by contemporary phylogenomic analyses [38,67]. However, placing metamonads relative to ...
What is the Phylum Metamonada? - MicroscopeMaster
The Phylum Metamonada is a large group comprising anaerobic flagellated protozoa of varying compositions. Initially, they were thought to have been an ancient group due to the absence of proper mitochondria. Based on a variety of studies, however, they are now understood to have lost their mitochondria over time.
