2009年3月2日 · Metacam by far..it seems to give Missy much better relief than the others we tried. Switching to the generic version (Meloxicam) with a prescription at Walmart was an added plus: Missy gets 1/2 of a 7.5 mg tablet. costs $4 for the month and last two.

2010年1月18日 · Metacam is one of the easiest on the gut NSAIDS for those with sensitive GI tracts. I take it as meloxicam (pill form for humans). We had a dog on it too. It's actually much less expensive to give it that way that the liquid Metacam version. I've even given Metacam to cats b/c the vets said it's the safest anti-inflamatory for even them. It's a good drug to start with.

She's had a dose of Metacam Oral suspension and 150 mg of Tramadol per vet's instructions (she weighs 69.8 lbs) and is not supposed to get any more meds this evening.

That is to say a 7.5mg metacam generic pill will have 7.5 mg of metacam, exactly the the same as a Meloxicam pill with 7.5mg of metacam. Quote

2010年10月18日 · I used Metacam on my last dog for between 8 and 9 years and sometimes it caused digestive upset but never so far as getting black tarry stools. However all dogs are different and in some it can be really irritating and you might need to give Antepsin (Sucralfate) or Slippery Elm Bark as a home remedy.
