2008年6月6日 · Maine Central GP7 # 565. In 2004, Atlas released their HO GP7 in the Maine Central's Harvest Gold and Green scheme. These locomotive in their Classic series features some finer details and nicer handrails than previous releases. The model is nicely painted and runs well, but it does not have any specific details for a MEC GP7.

2024年8月23日 · The Maine Central Railroad (MEC) was one such famous carrier. It was similar in nature to the Bangor & Aroostook, serving predominantly its home state and relying on a traffic base consisting of natural resources.

When the Western Pacific purchased their first GP7’s in 1952 they became the first Western Class I railroad to fully dieselize their locomotive fleet. With a number of F7’s already in use on the railroad, the WP looked to the GP7 as a more versatile choice to expand its diesel roster and get the last of their steam locomotives off the rails.
