Feb 15, 2005 · The MD70 has done well for several contractors and indeed was the inspiration behind the RTSS undercarriage found on the current series of machines. Construction Equipment Magazine did a hands-on-earthmoving when they compared the 2810/2800 to the MD70, and it seemed the overall opinion of the 70 was that it was pretty well-developed.

Nov 20, 2007 · The MD70 is such an old piece of technology and they aren't cheap still. I found various units online with tons of hours for $20K. I'd rather buy something else unless you could get a bargain of a price. But, it seems that they do hold up over time and are suited to heavy forestry work, etc..

Aug 17, 2013 · there are a few ASV 4500, md70, etc. All you would need to do is by a 6-way blade and an 80-100hp ASV may be better then a full-size dozer. Im not a machinery operator, i've been looking into skid steers and these ASV's seem to do all the work of a medium size dozer and them some. Michael

Mar 3, 2010 · You must have had either a MD2800/2810 or a MD70 since you mentioned an Isuzu engine. You are dragging machines from the late 90s and early 2000s through the mud. CAT dealers haven't sold ASV machines for years.
