A friend of mine is having a little trouble running Left 4 Dead 2 because of a weak graphics card. He consistently gets around 10 FPS. 2013年8月8日 · Max background fps is when the game is not focused / active for example when you alt tabbed to a webpage. I recommend setting this between 8 and 20 depending on how good your cpu and gpu are. Basically it is usefull for lowering your cpu usage while the game is alt tabbed / not active

2021年8月8日 · If you are using an Nvidia GPU then in the NVCP, manage 3d options is a "Background Application Max Frame Rate" setting, turn it to "Off", check in the G-Sync/ G-Sync compatible settings that "For windowed and fullscreen" is also enabled, if available. These settings should have an equivalent in the AMD GPU drivers, but I cannot say for certain.
