Lifelong Marmite addict. I've had Vegemite twice - once during a trip to Australia at the hotel buffet breakfast (they offered it in little minidish packs, like those for butter), and another time I bought a jar from the supermarket.

I highly recommend marmite pork! Same idea as sweet and sour pork except the sauce is made with marmite, honey (or other similar sweetener like maltose syrup, sugar etc), and a dash of soy. Salty and sweet and I don't find the marmite flavour very strong in that preparation.

2022年2月2日 · Hi! I have a bizarrely specific question but maybe somebody knows the answer. Which is closer to the flavor of Better Than Bouillon Seasoned Vegetable Base: Marmite or Vegemite? I assume Vegemite but I just want to check if anybody has personal knowledge.

Marmite is indeed very much the original. FYI, Vegimite has more additives and flavour enhancers and more added sugar. Marmite in the United Kingdom is slightly different to Marmite sold in Australia, as the Australian marmite has been tailored more to the Australian taste - I.e. marginally less powerful, and slightly sweeter.

2023年2月12日 · Does anyone know where to find Marmite for a cheap price in Germany? I have only been able to find it for ridiculous prices, but since I go through a few jars a month, that's a lifestyle I can't finance. Any advice on Marmite acquisition would be greatly appreciated.
