Marambio Station (Spanish: Estación Marambio) is a permanent, all year-round Argentine Antarctica station named after Vice-Commodore Gustavo Argentino Marambio , an Antarctic aviation pioneer. It is located in Marambio Island, Graham Land, Antarctic Peninsula, some 100 km (60 mi) from the coastal civilian village of Esperanza.

Marambionectes (meaning "Marambio Island swimmer") is an extinct genus of weddellonectian elasmosaurid plesiosaur from the Late Cretaceous López de Bertodano Formation of Antarctica. The genus contains a single species, M. molinai, known from a partial skeleton.

The result was the selection of one specific sector of Seymour (Marambio) Island, north-eastern Antarctic Peninsula. Here, uninterrupted deposition across the K-Pg boundary reveals major declines in species diversity following the asteroid impact.

2022年10月30日 · The Marambio base is located on a plateau 200 meters high and only 1.5 kilometers long, the same length as the landing strip that once a month receives the emblematic Hercules plane of the Air Force that transports personnel, supplies and equipment for the rest of the Argentine bases.
