Well judging by the fact both aerith and sephiroth have bright green eyes, I'm guessing green has something to do with it. Maybe clouds will have green fleks or something later in the game. Cloud’s eyes do seem pretty bright and “glowy” when shown up close. Compare them with Tifa, Barret, or the Avalanche gang.
