Mad Max 3-4 [] The expanse of the desert. After an unseen nuclear exchange, the Wasteland as seen in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome and Mad Max: Fury Road has been vastly transformed. Much of the dusty rock of the Outback has been replaced with endless sand dunes, with almost no pre-Fall roads present.

Wasteland Weekend was honored to be asked to bring vehicles and folks in costume to Hollywood Blvd for a special event promoting “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” We brought 9 vehicles- including our war rig- and over 30 of our Wastelanders in full costume.

It is the third installment in the Mad Max franchise, as well as the only one in it to be rated PG-13 by the MPAA. The film stars Mel Gibson and Tina Turner, and follows a lone roving warrior who is exiled into the desert. It was Gibson's last performance as "Mad Max" Rockatansky.

Wasteland Weekend is an annual four-day festival held on the edge of the Mojave Desert [4] near Edwards, California. It is listed as a full immersion event, with all participants required to adhere to the set theme inspired by post-apocalyptic media such as Mad Max, Fallout and Wasteland.
