Aug 17, 2018 · D&D sorcerers and wizards are pretty solidly SAD classes, with secondary high scores usually going into DEX for boosted AC (but no true dependency on that). Similarly, it's pretty hard to play a D&D paladin as anything but a MAD class dependent on at least three abilities (WIS, CHA, and either STR or CON).
How many Ability Dependencies is too many? (What is MAD?)
in BD&D, there is only really one (maybe two) PC classes that even use 2 stats, obviously the martial/melee classes in the PHB do as well. And with everyone needing CON, that really to me makes these characters MAD at least in proportion to other 5e classes. At this point, though, MAD isn't a bad thing.

If everybody is playing one game except one person is playing a different one, there's going to be a problem, and it's worse if that person is the DM.
