But when typing in Windows, his keyboard reverses the two keys at the top left and bottom left corners, which is typical of Windows thinking the keyboard is ANSI instead of ISO.

For example, the ¿ and ? keys are shown on the top right of the keyboard but are actually produced by the bottom right keys. 2023年5月27日 · Every keyboard layout has 3 forms: ANSI, ISO, and JIS. The OS is supposed to determine which form of hardware keyboard is attached and use the right layout for that. Sometimes it fails. The "Brazilian" layout in its ANSI form matches the poster's hardware keyboard, but the OS mistakenly thought the hardware was ISO and used that form instead.

This is exactly how the physical built-in keyboard keys are printed, the keys match up as expected. However, when I actually press the "§ °" button on the physical keyboard, it seems switched with the "> <" button in the 2nd-bottom row.

2018年7月11日 · Does the arabic keyboard on the new macbook pro have the same keyboard layout as the english one? As in are all keys the same size and in the same location? I have an late 2013 macbook pro with arabic keyboard. But the layout is different. Example the enter key has a 90 degree and vs on the english version it would be a horizontal double width key.

2010年1月5日 · UK Mac keyboards have the speechmark key in the position that a PC keyboard would have the @ (at) symbol, i.e. over on the right next to the return key. If your PC keyboard is a Microsoft or Logitech one, then one option would be to install their Mac software which should hopefully setup the right mapping.
